The Institute exists to support serious, disciplined study in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Our programs, governance and institutional records are published openly, and our regulatory position is stated plainly on this site.

Institutional principle

A formation of the mind in the service of faith

The Institute is dedicated to the study of Catholic theology, philosophy and related religious disciplines. It seeks to form students capable of reading primary sources with care, reasoning with precision, and serving their communities with intellectual and moral seriousness.

The Institute organises its academic work around the following fields. Individual programs are published in the catalogue as each is formally adopted.

Scripture, dogmatic and fundamental theology, and the development of Catholic doctrine.

Classical and scholastic philosophy, metaphysics, ethics and the philosophy of religion.

The history of the Church, its councils, institutions and intellectual movements.

Canon Law and Institutions

The legal and institutional structures of ecclesial life, studied in their historical context.

Spirituality and Liturgy

The liturgical tradition, sacred music and the literature of Christian spirituality.

Sacred Art and Manuscripts

Christian art, iconography and the manuscript tradition as sources for theological study.

The Institute publishes its legal nature, registration details and current standing before the Florida Commission for Independent Education, together with any documents issued in that process.
